How To Apply False Lashes

We will be dealing with How To Apply False Lashes today. This article will emphasize on easy, simple tips and tricks for applying false eyelashes. When worn correctly, they can go undetected! Applying false lashes is an art that many of us are yet to master. A bad application can ruin your makeup. But once you learn how to apply false lashes, they can make your eyes look wider and add a dramatic flair to your eye makeup that mascara alone can’t provide.

There are a range of different false lashes to choose from, depending what particular effect you’re after. You can get individual lashes, lash strips, or even more exaggerated styles such as feathers and paper cut-outs. If you want fuller, natural looking lashes then most experts would recommend using individual false lashes. How to wear false lashes? Wear the right shape!

Prepare your eyes before applying your false lashes. Curl your eyelashes and apply a swipe of mascara first. If you’re applying individual lashes, this step helps separate your existing lashes for easy application. Cut the lash band right down the centre to create a large individual lash. It’s easier to place than a full lash strip, which can become weird and asymmetrical. Applying eyeliner will also help hide the base of your false lashes. Preparation is key when you’re wondering how to wear false lashes.

There are differing opinions when it comes to where you should apply the lash glue or adhesive. Some suggest applying directly on the false lashes, while others think it’s best to apply directly to your lash line (NOT your lashes). Either way, avoid applying too much glue by gently running small beads of glue onto the application surface. When taking off your makeup, make sure that you remove all traces of glue.

Place your extension on the outer corner first, hugging that lash line tight. For an eye-lifting effect, place the outer extension slightly above the natural lash line. When applying, push them in gently and use an eye makeup brush or tweezers to help place them near the root of your lashes. When they’re on, avoid touching them excessively.

TIP: When you’re placing the inner lash extension, avoid going close to the tear duct to give a little bit more width to the eye. If it’s too close, it makes your eyes feel like they’re narrower and even cross-eyed.
